Business and professional services sites

Web design & development · Leamington Spa
Leamington has one of the densest games development clusters in Europe. It is a town where a fair number of your customers, staff and neighbours can tell the difference between a website and a template with a logo dropped into it — which raises the floor on what is worth putting out.
The Leamington market
Leamington's games industry is the fact that makes this town different from every other one on our list. Codemasters, Playground Games, Sega Hardlight, Ubisoft Leamington and a long tail of studios and contractors sit within a few streets of each other, and the cluster has been there long enough to shape the town — it has pulled in several thousand technical people, their salaries, and the bars, restaurants and services that follow them. Locals call it Silicon Spa and it is not a marketing invention.
That matters commercially in two directions. If you sell to those studios or their staff, you are selling to an audience with an unusually high tolerance for detail and an unusually low tolerance for a slow, badly-built page — they do this for a living. And if you are one of the studios or contractors, your own site is a credential: a developer's website that takes six seconds to load is a specific and quite public embarrassment.
The rest of the town is Regency, and busy with it. The Parade, Warwick Street, Regent Street and the Old Town carry a genuinely strong independent retail, restaurant and wellbeing trade — the sort of businesses that live or die on how they look in a search result and on a phone. Behind them sit the professional services, clinics, agencies and property firms that fill the upper floors. Warwickshire College and the town's position on the Chiltern and West Coast lines keep the population young and moving.
The honest note. There are good web agencies in Leamington, several of them long-established, and we are not going to pretend otherwise on a page trying to win your business. What we would say is narrower: we build rather than assemble, we host and maintain what we build, and the person who quotes you is the person who writes the code. If you want a big creative team and a brand campaign, hire one of them. If you want the thing to actually work, we are worth an hour.
Ten minutes up the A452, which in practice means we turn up.

Menus, opening hours, booking links and location, all reachable in seconds on a phone in the street outside. The single most common failure in this trade is burying the one fact the visitor came for.
Catalogues, payments, personalisation, trade pricing and multi-supplier fulfilment. Fifteen years of running our own shop rather than a plugin we read the documentation for last week.
If your customers are developers, the build quality of your own site is part of the pitch. Clean markup, real Core Web Vitals, no forty-script tag manager, and a Lighthouse score you would be happy to be asked about.
Where the design is fine and the engineering underneath is not. Usually cheaper than a rebuild and we will say so when it is, which costs us the bigger job and is still the right advice.
Bookings, memberships, accounts, ordering, internal tools. Written in-house in TypeScript, Node and Postgres, owned by you, with no per-seat licence at renewal.
What this looks like in practice
Patterns rather than named clients. Which of them apply to you is usually obvious within five minutes of looking at the site.
Heavy imagery, a slider nobody scrolls past, four web fonts and a tag manager carrying scripts from an agency that left in 2022. It photographs well and performs badly.
The look kept, the weight removed
People who already know you can find you. People who do not know you yet never see you, because the site never targets a search anybody actually types.
Found for what you sell, not just who you are
The website says one thing, the booking system says another, and the stock or availability on each disagrees. Every mismatch is a customer deciding not to risk it.
One source of truth, everywhere
Every price change, staff update and opening-hours correction goes through an agency and takes a fortnight. So it stops happening, and the site quietly goes stale.
Your own team editing it in minutes
Four stages, a fixed price agreed before stage three, and you can stop after any of them.
Who you are trying to reach, what they search for, and what you need them to do. Half a day that saves a great deal of rebuilding later.
Pages planned around what people actually type. We write the first draft if you want — most people would rather we did, and then correct it.
Built to the fixed price you agreed. You see it on a staging URL and can click through the whole thing long before anything goes public.
Analytics, Search Console, and a review after the first few months — because the first version is never the final one.
Ten minutes from our studio in Kenilworth, so there is no travel charge and no minimum job to get us to come and look at something.
A business site is usually £2,000 to £6,000 depending on the number of pages and how much of the writing you want us to do. E-commerce and booking platforms start higher. A fixed price against a written scope, always, and never a day rate.
Because we build and then keep running what we build, and the person who quotes you writes the code. There is no account layer, nothing is offshored, and there is no handover to a delivery team you have not met. That is a real limit on how much we take on at once, and it is the trade we have chosen.
We would be glad to, and we are realistic — most have in-house people who could build a marketing site themselves if they had the week spare. Where we tend to be useful is the thing that is not the game: the recruitment site, the storefront, the internal tool, the system nobody has time for.
Yes. Every heading, paragraph, image and price is editable from an admin, and the layouts hold, so nothing can be broken by accident. Changing your own words never generates an invoice.
For local terms with genuine intent, weeks to a few months. Leamington is more competitive than the surrounding towns because there are real agencies here doing this properly, so it is slower than Kenilworth or Rugby. Anyone giving you a date is guessing.
Yes, on our own UK infrastructure, with SSL, daily backups and updates included. You are not locked in — the code and the domain are yours and the site is portable, so leaving is a conversation rather than a problem.
