The Ladies First Charity Calendar 2027 brings together women from across Warwickshire and the West Midlands, each one supporting a charity close to her heart. Between them they are backing more than thirty charities, with a target of £50,000. When the team behind it asked for help with their website, we said yes — and we said we would do it for nothing.
The calendar itself was photographed at Mallory Court Hotel & Spa, one of the campaign's sponsors. The picture above is the site's own page introducing the women behind it.
What we built
The new site at ladies-first-charity.co.uk replaces a page builder template that told the story well but could not sell anything. It now has:
- The women and their charities — each woman in the calendar, the charity she chose and why.
- A shop for the calendar, with donations and Gift Aid handled at the checkout, ready for when sales open.
- Launch night tickets and a direct link to the campaign's JustGiving page.
- A digital edition delivered only to the people who have bought it.
- News, a gallery and press, plus a sign-up so supporters hear how close the campaign is to its target.
- An admin the volunteers run themselves — prices, stories, photos and even the colour scheme, without ringing anyone.
Why we did it for free
Every pound a charity campaign spends on its website is a pound that does not reach the charities. So we designed, built and host the site at no cost and are credited as a sponsor instead. We take on a small number of projects like this where the website is genuinely in the way of the cause — this one was an easy yes.
Launch night
The calendar launches with a red-carpet evening at The Rep in Birmingham on Thursday 15 October 2026. Tickets are on the Ladies First website.
How you can help
Come to launch night, buy a calendar when sales open or donate directly through the campaign's JustGiving page. All of it is on ladies-first-charity.co.uk.
